Civil & Commercial Litigation

The term civil litigation refers to a legal dispute between two or more parties that seek money damages or specific performance.  If you are injured in an accident (slip and fall, or motor vehicle), dismissed from your employer, or had a contract that was not honored – you would turn to the civil court for a remedy – money.

When a case does go to trial, the entire process, from filing documents with the court to taking the case through resolution, can take anywhere from a few months to several years.  J. Solomon Law will advise you at every step of the way, from explaining the necessity to start a claim (commonly referred to as a lawsuit), or whether you are a defendant and need to file a defence.
